These types of jeans were inspired by the fashion trends of the 80s and 90s, which are coming back and looking better than ever. Cresskill becomes quite cold in the winter, so these pants are perfect for that type of nice, chilly weather.

2. Tie-Dye Clothes

When several clothing stores closed down in March because of COVID-19, people had to find creative ways to find new clothes. One of the most popular ways teens added new pieces to their closet was by tie-dying. All you have to do is order a plain white t-shirt, or pair of sweatpants, and a tie-dye kit through Amazon, and you have everything you need.

Patchwork jeans are simply reused pieces of jeans that are sewed together to make new jeans or even tops. They became especially popular over quarantine and this previous summer when people had extra time on their hands to learn how to sew and make clothing. They are also eco-friendly because it reuses denim material that would normally be thrown away.

Monochrome outfits consist of pieces that are the same color but include different shades and prints. The joy of the monochromatic fashion trend is wearing different shades and tints of the same color. It started trending over quarantine when people had the time to look through their closets for new items of clothing, like shorts and sweaters. This also gives a stylist a lot of freedom because of all the different clothing they could match (ex. A white tank top, a blue zip-up hoodie, blue pants, and a blue headband).

Handbags have started to become very popular and date back to the 90s when teens and young adult women would wear small handbags. They are mainly purchased for the look as they are not convenient for storage. Many kids purchase their bags from thrift stores so they can have the authentic 90s look. However, many fast fashion brands like Urban outfitters, Ali Express, and Shein have modernized this look into their own.

9. Rings

Rings have always been a great way to spice up your look, but now they have attracted a younger audience then before. Middle and highschool students have started to invest in cheap plastic rings from all over. Some popular patterns that are circling social media are snake rings, hearts, and the infinity logo. However, rings aren’t seen as a girl only  accessory anymore. Teenage boys have started to also wear rings to show their support in normalizing male femininity as well as taking interest in the stylish accessory.

10. Shoelace belts

The name sounds like a first grade arts and crafts project, but shoelace belts are one of the most chic things in the fashion industry at the moment. It requires the least effort out of all the accessories listed, you just take a shoelace from any of your shoes and tie it around your jeans in place of a belt. The ability to tighten and loosen the belt allows for the waist to be accentuated and the bright white color of the string gives your outfit a fun, cool twist.
