If you want to get out of the house but not necessarily out of your car… then a classic Christmas light show is for you. Tune in to the corresponding radio station as you drive through an orchard of lights at Demarest Farms in Hillsdale. Enjoy singing snow mans, and little elves just inches from your window. After the fun is over you can grab a snack and drink inside at the grocery store.

Coming in next is popular and trendy Bryant Park winter village in New York City on 42nd street and 6th Ave. This spot houses over 50 stores with vendors from all over. You can find anything from food and dessert to vintage decor and jewelry here. This is the perfect place to finish up any Christmas shopping in addition to enjoying the big apple during the best time of the year.

Gathering with friends for a cozy night by the T.V is always an easy yet joyful way of celebrating the holidays. Whether you are Christian, Catholic, Jewish, etc… watching movies involving winter and whichever holiday suits you makes it possible to share holiday spirit right from your couch! Adding some baked goods and warm drinks such as hot cocoa and/or tea adds entertainment and a delicious treat to enjoy as you watch! Movies such as ‘Home Alone’ and “Elf”, are just a few of the classics that are family friendly and easily accessible. Not only do you get to spend quality time with your loved ones, but are saving money by indulging in the comfort of your own home.

If you want to take the opposite route and truly celebrate this time of year, throwing a Christmas bash is always an exciting way to bring family and friends together during the holidays! Eating, drinking, dancing, conversing, and spending quality time together reminds us all of what the holidays are truly about. This time of bonding can be used to an advantage by learning about different cultures and family traditions, separating ourselves from others. Popular ideas for attire could be an ‘ugly sweater party’ which gives guests a lighthearted feel throughout the night, compared to a dressy cocktail party with dresses and bowties. With endless themes and possibilities, a Holiday party is a must when creating a winter bucket list.
