Which would you rather have as a pet?
Sorry, there was an error loading this poll.
This week’s featured pet belongs to freshman Jasmine Ambartsumyan and junior Michael Ambartsumyan, and her name is Treasure, a cheerful little budgerigar (that’s a fancy name for a parakeet!) Treasure has been part of the Ambartsumyan family since 2020, when his parents bought her home during the pandemic as a source of entertainment for him and his sister. Treasure might be tiny, but she’s had some dramatic moments. On her very first flight out of the cage, she zoomed straight into a basement wall and nearly didn’t make it. Thankfully, she recovered and has been filling the house with energy ever since. Michael takes care of her daily by cleaning her water, giving her fresh food, and letting her stretch her wings after school. Treasure has plenty of toys to play with when she’s not flying around. From a rocky start to her playful personality, Treasure has truly lived up to her name.
