The annual Coachella Festival is a 3-day weekend music festival hosted in Palm Springs, California. Known as the Influencer hub, many people gather here for popular artists and content. Because of this, many brands invite influencers to stay with them under their name to boost their marketing. So with Coachella 2024 coming to an end, let’s look back on the top PR stunts this year.
Drink Poppi:
Drink Poppi organized a full house for Alix Earle and her friends this year. The house was decked out in their new lemon-lime drink. Their team went above and beyond from the pool to the bedrooms, even naming the house Coachearlla after Alix Earle. With the partnership, there has been an increase in poppi drinks around social media and has continued to skyrocket ever since their debut with Alix.
Tarte Cosmetics x Beach Waver:
Tarte Cosmetics a makeup brand, has been a huge PR stunt group ever since their first tripped with Tarte aired, which is a trip with many different influencers sponsored by Tarte. They rented a house with beach waver this Coachella and invited many different influencers to stay. Each influencer posted content for both brands, influencing people to purchase their products if they don’t already. This collaboration was a benefit on both sides and was very strategic when it came to Coachella and boosting their brands.
White Fox house:
The White Fox House was similar to the Tarte House. This clothing brand invited a bunch of influencers to represent them in Coachella. With the influencers promoting them and their brand, it helped them spread their products overall as a classic brand and Coachella pairing.
Revolve party:
Although the Revolve party was not an actual house, it certainly had major controversy. Revolve is a major clothing brand that has grown its platform. When influencers entered the house some signs said 1 million followers or more go one way and the ones with fewer followers go the other way. Influencers stated that the overall vibe was better in the one million and more follower area and these people got access to many complementary items that the ones with less had not had. This situation demonstrates the messed up influencer world and how sometimes jokes aren’t interpreted as one.
