Cresskill Middle/High School is excited to welcome our new vice principal, Mrs. Bucco, who is eager to bring positive changes to our school! An assistant principal, often called a vice principal, is an administrator in the school who assists and supports the principal in managing school issues and operations. Tasks such as managing staff, student discipline, and coordinating school events are usually left up to the school vice principal. Mrs. Bucco (39) graduated from TCNJ in 2008 with two master’s degrees in curriculum instruction and assessment and educational leadership. Impressive! She spent 16 years as a math teacher at Montvale School and has now transferred to Cresskill Middle/High School to take the place of former vice principal Mr. Apice, who has now become the Assistant Principal of Student Support Services. She has since thanked the students for their kind regards; “Thank you so much for the warm welcome from the students and staff, I feel like I found a home here.“ She shared passionately about her desire to work in education and reflected on her own experiences as a student as well as how they inspired her to help others. “I never got into trouble; I cared deeply about my classes and grades. I guess that’s why I wanted to be a teacher.”
Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s dive deeper and learn more about her!
