It is now the appropriate moment to say goodbye to shorts and T-shirts, and time to greet sweaters and Uggs. The upcoming school year at Cresskill is set to reveal some exciting new and old fashion trends.
When the mornings get chilly, knit sweaters are a perfect way to keep you warm while still being fashionable. They look effortless, and you can pair them up with leggings and jeans of all colors. From wearing them in the morning to elevating the look in the evening, they are a perfect basic piece to add to your clothing collection. There are many types of sweaters as well, but this fall, oversized and chunky knit are most seen throughout the hallways. Giving you a more relaxed, comfy style, sweaters allow people to have a more casual style. Oversized or off the shoulder sweaters can be dressed up or down, all depending on your preference.
Low rise jeans are making a statement this fall and back-to-school season. Popular in the 2000’s, these jeans are making a comeback in denim trends. There are many different tops that can go with low rise jeans, especially tight long or short sleeve shirts. For a more cozy look, it can be paired with a sweater.. They also fit well with Uggs, boots, and even sneakers. Low rise jeans are casual enough to be worn at school, and are already making a huge appearance at CHS this year so far.
If you are looking to update your fall fashion this year, according to sophomore, Elaine Kim, she recommends shopping from Brandy Melville and Hollister. These two brands are popular among students at CHS. Brandy Melville offers a minimalistic style that is perfect for school, especially in the fall with their neutral color clothing. Along with Brandy, Hollister sells many comfy, and thick clothing like hoodies, perfect for when you decide to go out and walk to lunch with friends during these past chilly few days.
Shoes are the perfect way to express your style, especially when you want to stay comfortable during the fall season. Adidas Sambas make every outfit pop, as they come in all sorts of colors and styles. They elevate any outfit while being comfortable, and they pair well with low rise sweatpants or jeans. Some students at CHS have been matching the color of their sambas to their hoodies and shirts, coordinating the look, and tying the whole outfit together. Another popular shoe is Uggs. On those days when you want to feel cozy and are running late to school, Uggs will never disappoint. They wrap your feet in warmth and are perfect for fall chilly school days. In addition, Uggs will make you feel more relaxed and comfortable throughout the entire school day.
