At Cresskill High School there are a number of gym unit options that the high schoolers are able to choose from in their gym (Physical Education) class. From Tennis, Archery, Ultimate Frisbee, and many others, there is no doubt that students have what feels like an infinite number of options to choose from. However, because of these “infinite” choices, the rising question of what the best option is commences.
To decide what the best gym unit is, many factors have to be taken into consideration. First off, we have to look at which unit is most enjoyed by the students, keeping in mind the opinions of the teachers of the different units as well. The teachers of the units are a prevalent factor regarding the best gym unit, as they have a big role in ensuring the proper safety of the students and making sure that the students have fun. Some teachers may make the unit less enjoyable than others, overall leading to being less liked among the students, affecting the overall likeability of a certain unit.
To decide what the best gym unit is, I interviewed many students from all over the school. During these interviews, one gym unit kept popping up as an overall favorite as he interviewed more people.
“In my opinion, Ultimate Frisbee is the best gym unit” claims Michael Ambartsumyan, a sophomore at CHS. “I feel like it’s the unit that anyone can play since it’s so easy to learn. It’s also fun playing together with other students on the same team.”
Overall, according to the high school students at CHS, the best gym unit at Cresskill High School is no doubt Ultimate Frisbee. Through fun and inclusivity, Ultimate Frisbee is easy to learn, making it the most popular choice and hence, the best choice.
