Crumbl has been one of Cresskill’s new favorite sweet treats. Ever since the crumble in the Bergen town center opened a few months ago that is what has been raved about. The question a lot of people ask is, “Is it overrated?” “Is it overpriced?” “Is it really worth it to wait in the line?”. Today I will be answering these questions and really getting everyone an understanding of if Crumbl is worth it.
If you don’t already know what Crumbl is, here is a breakdown. Crumbl is a cookie and cake chain bakery all over the United States. Every week they come out with 6 new flavors to keep customers on their toes. Even though there are 6 new flavors you do not have to always get 6 cookies.
Price Breakdown :
There are different prices depending on the amount of cookies you want and the size. A single cookie is $4.99. A 4 pack is $18.99. A 6 pack is $25.99. A 12 pack is $47.99. And a mini 6 pack is $16.99.
As you can see there are many different packs to get, and you are never restricted on buying everything.
The Line:
The Crumbl in Bergen town center is about 30 minutes from Cresskill. This is the closest Crumbl near us. The second closest would be in Wayne. Since the Crumbl near us is new the lines are outrageous. They wrap around the plaza sometimes and can be up to 2 hours or more. There is always an option to order for pick up but you still have to wait in a line for at least 15 minutes. So is it worth it?
Review:
I spoke to 2 Cresskill students about their thoughts of Crumbl and this is what they told me. First, I interviewed Caitlin McGee, a senior at Cresskill High School: “I think it’s a good place to get a desert with a wide variety. I like that they have new flavors each week, it keeps people wanting to try new flavors”. While Crumbl has a wide variety each week the price, line and more are taken into account. Caitlin thinks that since the cookies are big and can be split between up to 4 people it’s not really overpriced. She also says that she would NEVER wait on the line since she has no patience to do so.
Lastly, I interviewed senior Tomer Yochai on his thoughts on Crumbl: “It’s really good, because every week they provide us with something new and I’m excited to see what they have and they build up suspense so it makes it taste better in your head”. As Tomer talks more about his thoughts on Crumbl it’s important to also take into account the marketing tactics that Crumbl takes to cause an attraction. As other people advertise by posting on tiktok for Crumbl it drags the attention to Crumbl and causes a lot of influence for younger kids: “I see mukbangs on TikTok and I’m easily influenced to go get them.” Tomer says, “It’s a good marketing tactic that they have many different varieties of packs, when you don’t want all the cookies you can double up or only get 1.”
Conclusion:
Overall Crumbl Cookies is a popular place to go to for Cresskill kids. Their fun new line ups each which bring a surprise element making customers eager to get more. The lines are not worth the wait but Crumbl is a great place to go when you want to try something new and get a sweet treat with your friends!!!
