Our very own Coach Egorow has been honored with the Coach of All Seasons award by the NJSIAA, recognizing his outstanding dedication and leadership across multiple sports. This award celebrates coaches who make a lasting impact on their athletes, both on and off the court or field.
Mr. Egorow is the head coach for the boys Varsity Basketball and Tennis team, as well as the girls Varsity Tennis team, each of which has achieved remarkable success under his guidance.He took over the basketball team in the 2017-2018 season, and in his first year, the team won North Jersey Boys Team of the Year, the league, and the section, marking the start of his success. The team has continued to excel, winning the league in 2023 and 2024 and the Sectional Championship in 2023. When asked about coaching multiple sports, Coach Egorow said, “I enjoy coaching all 3 seasons, but basketball is definitely my favorite one, I also played here at CHS.”
In addition to coaching, Coach Egorow is also a history teacher here, inspiring students in the classroom with the same passion he brings to athletics.
When asked how it feels to receive the award, he said, “I am very gracious to be recognized and it feels really good that the state has taken the time to dedicate this award to me and other coaches as well, it’s really awesome.” Coach Egorow’s commitment, enthusiasm, and leadership continues to take a big part in the CHS community, setting a role model like example for both students and athletes.
