A new student-run group, the Stress Management Club, has quickly become one of the most talked-about clubs at Cresskill High School. Within just a few days of its creation, nearly a hundred students have joined, showing the demand for students to relax and recharge.
The Club President, Ben Rubinstein, shared what inspired the club, saying, “We are trying to make this community less stressed.”
Many say that the rise of this club comes from the right timing, right at the beginning of a busy school year. “Everyone’s stressed about grades, sports or SATs,” says Michael Ambartsumyan, a member of the club. “The club just feels like a safe space to relax and learn how to handle it all, similar to a therapy session but with your peers.”
The club kicked off its first meeting on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, focusing on the topic of stress and topics related to stress. Members even completed a fun Kahoot game to test their knowledge and share tips for staying calm under pressure. The response from students and teachers has been overwhelmingly positive, and excitement is already building for the next meeting, which will be soon announced in the club’s Google Classroom, according to Ben Rubinstein.
With meetings held only occasionally, this is the perfect club for anyone looking to unwind without a big time commitment. Join the club today! It takes place after school in room C3 – a cozy spot to relax, recharge, and connect. The Google Classroom code is 7g6d5g77.
