Date Ideas In Cresskill

Romance is in the air. It’s Valentine’s Day. This is THE time to step up  your game and make memorable experiences with your significant other. You don’t have to go far, explore your options within the borders of your own town or home!

CRESSKILL RESTAURANTS:

C U Latte

In the mood for somethin’ sweet? C U Latte offers just that, ranging from baked scones to crepes, to lattes of course! Take your significant other for a quick treat… don’t be shy to ask for one drink with two straws.

Hanami

Looking for a fancy lunch or dinner? Instead of taking a long trip, go to our local Hanami for a culinary experience of Japanese cuisine. You must try their fried rice (A.K.A. a fan favorite) at least once in your lifetime. This is your time to show off those outfits hidden in the back of your closet. Get fancy, and go to Hanami.

Zai’s Dessertery

Picture this: You have come down with a certain type of sickness… a sweet tooth!

Cause: Your date was too sweet

Remedy: It is only fitting that you treat this diagnosis with a short trip to Zai’s Dessertery. In my opinion, the best medicine is two scoops of strawberry ice cream with whipped cream on top!

The Farmhouse

Farmhouse is at your service for breakfast, lunch and dinner with good vibes all around. It is the perfect place for a lovely brunch with delicious pancakes, bacon, and eggs.

Cresskill Bagels

Are you looking to really WOW your partner? If so, run, don’t walk to Cresskill Bagels where you will spot ENDLESS types of bagels. Don’t believe me, check for yourself but don’t say I didn’t tell you so when you see rainbow bagels with strawberry cream cheese…the flavors of love!

Dante’s

For a casual date night, check out Dante’s. At Dante’s you will eat the best penne vodka pizza of all times! Don’t worry… there are healthy options available too.

CRESSKILL ACTIVITIES:

Bike around the Cresskill Recreation Center

After all that food, you may want to get in a little workout! Grab those bikes out from your garage and go on a scenic ride around the Cresskill Recreation Center’s soccer field pavement. If you’re lucky enough, there might even be a game going on that you guys can watch!

 Go on a picnic

Arguably the most romantic date of all times is the classic picnic. Pack up your picnic gear and find yourself at one of our local fields like the Recreational Center. To really outdo yourself, surprise your significant other with a blanket and stargaze. Don’t forget to add, “Are you a thief? Because you stole all the stars from the sky and put them in your eyes.”

AT HOME: Puts the Cozy in Cresskill:

Cook off

A night in is always well deserved, but why be alone when you can be with your significant other? Grab pizza dough, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, and any toppings you please from King’s and have a cook off! May the best chef win.

Ordering in food

If you are not a chef and don’t want to embarrass yourself in front of your partner, understandable! Ordering in food and playing board games by the fireplace is such a classy yet casual date idea.

Pro-tip: If you want your date night to last FOREVER like we all do, playing Monopoly will ensure this happens.

At home movie night

After a tiring week of school and sports, sometimes all you need is some popcorn, a blanket, and a good movie. Grab your partner and spend the night laughing at ridiculous Rom-Coms or shivering at horrific Thrillers. This is definitely a top 3 date idea, if I do say so myself.

Karaoke night

Think you’re the next Taylor Swift? First off, impossible! Secondly, if you think you are on her level, put your game face on and have a karaoke night with your partner! Karaoke lyrics for nearly every song are available on Youtube, so open up your laptop and get out a hairbrush to sing your heart out into! This date will definitely be one to remember.

Spa night

Within the comfort of your own home, have a spa night with your loved one! Our local CVS carries face masks and soothing jade rollers for a rather inexpensive price. Bring those materials back over to your house, light a candle, and there you have it, your very own spa!

P.S: Don’t forget to take the CLASSIC face mask picture with your significant other…you won’t regret it, trust me.

With this list, you and your partner will no longer have to worry about running out of date ideas. Valentine’s Day is now one less weight taken off of your shoulder. Enjoy today, and many more date nights to come!
